A major public art installation presented by The Art Lab Studio and conceived by leading Indian contemporary artist Dia Mehhta Bhupal and project co-founder Neha Modi was unveiled as part of a special exhibition at Nila House, Jaipur, on 27 January 2022. The project was an evolution of Bhupal’s ongoing Corona Quilt Project, an artisan engagement initiative offering an uplifting, inclusive channel of collective healing in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic. A curated programme of talks, films, and statements centred around a panel exploring the role that the arts can play in supporting mental and social health in India. The programme celebrated the important role of the arts during the global pandemic, and the resilience of artists and arts organisations contributing to community healing through creative expression and ancient knowledge systems that remain at the core of traditional crafts.
