The Lab hosted the opening session of the Newport Global Summit on the impact of the arts on health. Held at the Newport Art Museum, the session explored a future where the health and wellbeing of communities are at the top of the global museum agenda. The panel was hosted by John Blaffer Royall, and featuredStephen Stapleton and Dr Nisha Sajnani (Founding Co-Directors, JAHL), and Thomas Krens (former Director and Senior Advisor, International Affairs of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation).
Bringing together leaders of the global economy to share knowledge and build bridges through business and investment, the Newport Global Summit, whose 2023 attendees included Steve Forbes (Chairman and Editor-in-Chief, Forbes Media) and New York Times bestselling author Philip K. Howard gave the Lab the opportunity to present to potential investors and forge connections with US philanthropists.
